ROCKFORD, IL  --- The General Secretariat of the World Congress
of Families has announced that One Heart, Inc., has agreed to produce the entertainment for the growing international event.  One Heart, founded by family entertainment legend Alan Osmond and his wife Suzanne, is a non- profit organization established for the purpose of strengthening families.

Dr. Allan C. Carlson, founder and co-convener of the World
Congress of Families II (WCF II), which will be held in Geneva, Switzerland November 7-10, 1999, expressed great enthusiasm about the agreement.

"I cannot think of a more qualified and respected person to produce the entertainment for our event.  He sets his expectations high and so do we.  Families from around the world are in for a treat.  Our list of distinguished international speakers will give them something to think about, and Alan Osmond and his organization, I am confident, will successfully touch their hearts," Carlson said.

The congress will host over 2,000 scholars, advocates and celebrants of the family from over 500 pro-family organizations in over 100 nations.  The WXF II is co-convened by The Howard Center for Family, Religion, and Society in Rockford, Ill., and NGO Family Voice of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

"We're planning four days of inspiring entertainment to 'Celebrate Families' and educate world leaders regarding the importance of sustaining and supporting the family as we enter the new millenium," Mr. Osmond said.  "It will be a truly international event with top-name entertainers."

One Heart's planned entertainment for the four day event is scheduled to include 2,000 young international entertainers, and an array of international celebrities and a spectacular fireworks display.  A major highlight is a planned youth concert honoring over 400 youth delegates who desire to work as future advocates of the natural family.

"We believe the natural family is the fundamental social unit all around the world.  That is our message.  That is why we will gather to celebrate in Geneva.  And that message can just as easily be delivered through other emotive means such as music and fireworks displays as it can be through the power of the spoken word," added Dr. Carlson.
