Children's Way has joined One Heart Foundation in "Strengthening Families"!

Here are some very disturbing trends: We’re seeing a huge increase in the numbers of young children affected by gaming and gambling, excessive chat, online communities such as myspace.com, child predators, and internet pornography.  Just the pornography industry alone generates more revenue than ABC, CBS, and NBC combined!

First, let’s unite immediately to get this message to the Parents and their children! Parents must understand that all the internet filters in the world won’t compensate for their neglect to teach good citizenship, principles of internet safety with the “Power to Choose”, and to “Get Noi-Zä” for GOOD,   Sound principles will be the strongest line of defense for our children. Children must understand that the internet can be dangerous, but there are ways to navigate it safely.  The way to do this . . . is to follow the principles that their parents teach them.

Second, let’s motivate parents and children to spend this critical online-computer-time together.
It’s about TIME!  And here’s the good news:  there’s an easy program available that accomplishes both steps— it’s called:  the CHILDREN’S WAY . . . a  “I/2 Hour to Empower” Program. It involves two activities that work in unison with each other—the Online Family Charity Tournament and the Online Junior Assistant to the Governor/President Program. These activities encourage parents to spend a critical ½ hour per month online with their child, having fun and teaching them lessons that are paramount to their safety and well-being.
